I’m writing today to invite you to a new writers’ group that I’ve been brewing here in the cave for a while.
Introducing–a creative writing circle for moms.
I’ve been longing and looking for more opportunities to connect with other new moms and parents, to share our stories, to give voice to all of the things that there isn’t space to feel or to reveal in everyday life, to listen and be heard, and to devote time to being creative and reflective together.
Then I decided to simply create that opportunity for myself, and to invite my community to join in with me.

Shortly after the new year, on Sunday 12 January 2025, I’ll be hosting my first creative writing circle for moms, live via Zoom, 12-1:30 pm ET.
The circle will be an open, inclusive, relaxed, safe, and private space. You need no training, experience, or creative writing practice to join the circle. There will be space for us to write together during the session, and space to share as well, though you do not need to share anything–you are welcome to sit, reflect, write, and simply be in community.
This creative writing circle is intended for…
moms of children of ANY age, whether they are 9 weeks old, 9 months old (like my baby!), or 39 years old
anyone at any stage of pregnancy, or on any point of a fertility journey
anyone who is currently reflecting upon or considering the decision to become a mom, and wants to explore that desire in creative community
a note on gender inclusivity: this creative space (like all creative spaces I open up) is open to and welcoming of anyone of any gender who mothers children, who has given birth to children, who is pregnant, or who is exploring becoming pregnant. (Not all mothers or birthing parents are women, or use she/her pronouns.) If gender inclusivity does not resonate with you, then this will not be the right creative space for you. <3
another note: I’m trained as a writing workshop guide in the Amherst Writers’ and Artists’ method (AWA), and I use its style in all my writing groups. If you want to know more about the AWA writing workshop style, click here.
I will be hosting and facilitating this creative writing circle on a donation-based/pay what you can structure. (I’ll be offering it free to all the members of my Patreon community, so if you are part of my Patreon, look out for the Zoom link in our feed! :) You can pay anything you wish to or are able, whether that’s $1 or $20, or more. If you cannot pay anything and wish to attend, just reach out to me, and I’ll be glad to share the Zoom link with you. Creativity and creative community are for everybody.

Our creative writing circle will take place Sunday 12 January 2025, live via Zoom, 12-1:30 pm ET. If you are not in the Eastern US time zone, you can use this tool to convert the time into your local time zone.
All donations/payments are nonrefundable. If you cannot attend the creative writing circle for any reason, I will be sending out the video recording and a pdf of all the writing prompts and exercises to everyone who attended and signed up after our gathering. (Our gathering will be recorded, but will never be shared with anyone outside of the circle signups/attendees. <3)
